I'm a freelance artist and textile designer specialising in handcrafted batik. My designs are influenced by the vivid colours, amazing patterns and textures in our natural surroundings.

 

Using detailed pencil drawing I combine shape, colour and texture to create original designs on silk. I use the traditional technique of batik which involves wax resist and over dyeing, but in a modern way to produce fresh vibrant designs.

I create handcrafted batik designs on silk available unframed or in simple white box frames and unique silk scarves. I have expanded my range using digital printing to produce cushions and cards.
